Commitment
and service are two words to describe the programs and
events organized for the Programs Committee of Urban
League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee. Tailoring
programs to meet the five point empowerment agenda, originated
by the National Urban League, which encompasses health
and quality of life, economics, youth and education, civic
engagement, and social justice and civil rights. Our goal
is twofold: to invest in our lives through personal and
professional development and to enrich the lives of others
through community outreach. With the assistance of strong
contributors, we have mobilized members and outside organizations,
developed programs and events, to exposed individuals to
greater opportunities, while creating a means for us to
better our lives and our community.
