Commitment
and service are two words to describe the programs and
events organized by the Programs Committee of Urban
League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee.
By design, we tailor all programs to meet the five point empowerment
agenda, originated by the National Urban League, which
encompasses health and quality of life, economics, youth
and education, civic engagement, and social justice and
civil rights. Our goal is twofold: to invest in our lives
through personal and professional development and to enrich
the lives of others through community outreach. With
the assistance of strong contributors, we have mobilized
members and outside organizations, developed programs and
events, and exposed individuals to greater opportunities.
Mayor's First Day Festival, Career
Day at Bridges Academy, Mentorship with the Governor's L.I.F.T. Initiative, Voter Registration Drive, Election Official
Leadership, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk, National Homeless Power Project's Welcome HOME Celebration, ULYPMT Financial Empowerment Series, and NULYP National
Day of Service are a portion of the engagements in which ULYPMT
Programs Committee hosts or participates.
